Antonio, let's smile

Why only children? Why not also promote the adoption of old-timers?

That is the premise behind my idea for the film "Antonio, Let's Smile" (Fate un Bel Sorriso). A modern fairytale of sorts, openly paradoxical, that seeks to explore - and compare - various realities.

After refusing to move in with his daughter, old Antonio, a retired magistrate, ends up in a strange Institute where, after an intense preparatory course, the guests find themselves adopted by willing families. Antonio's “infernal” journey begins here... He undergoes a body and soul “re-education” that inevitably leads him to situations beyond his wildest imagination...

The result will not be a new man, but surely a different one. And perhaps all the wiser.
